  • Your Voice For These Issues

Let's talk about those things that are important to me and others living in northeast Missouri and I hope you will also be asking, "WHY?"

    • Healthcare--In 2005, 180,000 people in Missouri (of which 1,417 people were living in the first district) were cut from Medicaid and denied access to healthcare.  Three years later most of these people are still waiting for their Medicaid cuts to be restored.  WHY??
    • Funding for Rural Schools--Currently school district receive $6117 per pupil, coupled with declining enrollment and declining assessed valuation, this creates a funding formula that is harmful to rural schools.  My opponent supported this funding formula.  WHY??
    • School Vouchers--School vouchers divert money away from public schools.  On April 9, 2008 a vote was taken on an amendment to remove school vouchers from a bill.  You did not have a voice on this issue because your current state represenative, Brian Munzlinger, was absent for this vote.  He was present for other votes that evening.  WHY??
